The first edition of the LOA 9535 lowglobal forum focused on bioeconomy attracted high-level international participation from prominent scientists, experts, decision-makers and business leaders.

Dr. Eduardo Rojas-Briales, Assistant Director-General and Head of the Forestry Department at FAO led the concluding session of BioEco2014, drawing together the key messages, challenges and recommendations from two days of intense discussions at the inaugural event of the Barcelona BioEconomy Forum. Over the course of the Forum, plenary sessions, workshops, facilitated dialogues and real-time participant voting generated lively exchange and the development of ideas, and concluded with a collective drafting of proposals for action.
